Privacy Policy

Stocker ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website stocker.gultechs.net and the Stocker Android app. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and a bcrypt-hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Usage data: We record how many stock analyses you run per day to enforce free-tier limits. We do not log which symbols you analyse beyond an in-memory cache used to serve faster results.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.

Watchlist: Pro and Premium users may save a watchlist of stock symbols. This list is stored on our servers tied to your email address.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymised usage statistics (pages visited, session duration, device type). No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide and maintain the service
To enforce daily analysis quotas per tier
To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
To send transactional emails (email verification, billing receipts)
To improve the service using aggregated, anonymised analytics

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
Google OAuth — optional sign-in (Google Privacy Policy)
Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics
Anthropic Claude API — AI features (trade thesis, earnings summaries). Your stock symbol and publicly available financial data are sent to Anthropic; no personal account data is included.
Yahoo Finance / yfinance — market data. Queries include the stock ticker symbol only.

4. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing sercan.bugra@gmail.com. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We use localStorage to remember your theme preference and ticker bar visibility. No tracking cookies are set by Stocker itself. Google Analytics sets its own cookies as described in Google's policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Stocker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. We use HSTS, CSP, and other security headers to protect users.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sercan.bugra@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
